2023 Read Your Bookshelf Challenge

I found this reading challenge on Hey, Reader! and thought it sounded like a lot of fun, with not too much pressure, as I find some reading challenges can be a bit hard to follow through on. This challenge has a different prompt for each month, and each one follows on from the previous one, so it makes it extra interesting.

January

☐ Read a book that starts with the words ‘A’ or ‘The’

February

☐ Read a book where the cover or spine is in a complementary color from your January book

March

☐ Read a book where the title starts with the next letter in the alphabet from your February book

April

☐ Read a book that’s in a different genre than your March book

May

☐ Read a book that is longer than your April book

June

☐ Read a book where the title has half as many letters as your May book

July

☐ Read a book that is set in a different country or world than you June book

August

☐ Read a book that is the same genre as your July book

September

☐ Turn to page 50 in your August book and read a book that has a word from that page in its title

October

☐ Read a book where the title starts with the first letter of the last name of the author of your September book

November

☐ Read a book from a different time period to your October book

December

☐ Read a book that’s length is within 20 pages of your November book
